Tether, the issuer of the stablecoin USDT, has recently been very active. Not only has the circulation of USDT surpassed $100 billion for the first time, but the company has also made significant progress in AI big models, Bitcoin mining, and Real World Assets (RWA).
In addition to virtual asset companies, many traditional financial institutions are also planning to launch products related to asset tokenization. Asset management firm BlackRock, for example, intends to collaborate with US asset tokenization company Securitize to launch the BlackRock USD Institutional Digital Liquidity fund. HSBC Bank has also recently announced the launch of tokenized gold, HSBC Gold Token, for retail customers in Hong Kong.
Furthermore, the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission has explicitly stated that security token offerings (STOs) and RWA investments may be opened to retail investors, aiming to make Hong Kong a global hub for RWA innovation.
According to CoinGecko, the market value of the RWA sector has risen by 16% in the past 24 hours, with the token prices of Ondo Finance ($ONDO) and Pendle Finance ($PENDLE) increasing by 25.3% and 15.9% respectively.
